Originally from Philadelphia, I won two scholarships to attend the prestigious

Upon my return, I received a recording contract and had several releases under the name of Maxine Starr including "The Wishing Star" which was the theme from the movie, "Taras Bulba." I also performed a nightclub act in Philadelphia, New Jersey
& New York and appeared on television. For several summers, I toured the Music Fair circuit with Allegro Productions, an equity Children's Theater troupe. I was the Cantorial Soloist for B'nai Vail Congregation for 23 years before retiring
from that position in 2015. I taught voice in Vail, CO for fifteen years and currently teach voice privately at my vocal studio located in Boulder, CO.
